Katarzyna — Kasia to her colleagues and friends — is the driving force behind Mastermind Translations and brings almost two decades of experience in translation and translation management, having held an in-house translation role at the European Parliament in Luxembourg.
Practical, efficient, and quality-driven, Kasia is a Chartered Linguist and a Qualified Member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI). She holds a BA in English and an MA in English (with Dutch) specialising in Linguistics. She is also former Deputy Coordinator of the ITI’s Medical and Pharmaceutical Network and a regular guest speaker on the topic of medical and pharmaceutical translation at leading UK universities, including London Metropolitan University and University of East Anglia.
In recognition of her commitment to professional standards in the translation industry, in 2014 Kasia was highly commended by the ITI for the John Hayes Award for Excellence in Translation. Her business achievements have been acknowledged by the winning of the Small Business Sunday competition organised by Theo Paphitis and the award of the title of the Gloucestershire International Business Woman of the Year 2016.
